About the Blog

In this blog I will attempt to present relevant information in the areas of investment planning, markets, economics, estate planning, relevant geopolitical topics (to the financial world), other wealth management matters, and occasional off-topic happenings. The blog posts are not geared for investment professionals, but rather individuals who have a vested interest in the topics listed above or are in professions related to the wealth management world.

I hope to write blog posts that are not only informative, but also entertaining with trenchant commentary along the way. In order to provide a broad perspective in this blog (and for our clients), I utilize a wide variety of traditional (e.g. investment banks) and non-traditional (e.g. investment blogs) sources to find relevant information. I believe the more diverse the sources the better rounded my outlook and the more informative and entertaining the blog will be. Further, given the target audience described above, I feel posting on “non-mainstream” ideas will give the reader information they may not have been previously privy to.

Like politics, the world of finance, economics and investing is comprised of broad spectrum of views; however, much of the press is made by commentators at the polar ends of those spectrum. Non professionals and professionals alike have trouble discerning fact from hype. The goal of this blog will be to present divergent data and opinions from across the wealth management universe and then apply sound analysis and reason to make sense of a complicated and confusing landscape: in other words to provide a convergent view.  Additionally, I hope to add context to and shed light on ideas and concepts that in isolation may have been missed or unclear.

At the present time this blog does not provide for reader posts; however, I do feel it is imperative for me to read the opinions of my readers. As such, I encourage any questions, comments, or complaints be emailed to me directly at zabrams@capitaladvisorsltd.com. I hope to respond in a timely manner and if the content is strong enough I can turn it into a post.
